BMS Technical Manager – Remote - £55,000

A fantastic opportunity has just presented itself for the right candidate to join a nationwide company in the energy and building management systems sector. They are looking to grow their team and take on a Technical Manager.

 

The BMS Technical Manager position

In this role, you will be part of their national accounts department. While this role is home based, there will be some travel required. This role is assigned to their Manchester office however they are open to individuals all over the UK, provided you are willing to travel when required.

 

As the BMS Technical Manager, you will have an understanding of BMS and net zero services, products, and solutions, interacting with internal and external stakeholders as required. The role will primarily be providing supporting and output documentation for BMS & net zero solutions.

Main responsibilities

·         Promoting and selling the company brand and understanding all the sales propositions.

·         Nurture and develop new relationships with end users, consultants, and contractors via technical presentations of integrated systems and building management products.

·         Preparing quotations from site surveys and technical information including specifications for projects.

·         To provide timely update reports and briefings, monthly reports of sales activity and order forecasts to Manager.

·         Be customer focused at all times and deliver outstanding customer service by displaying a positive and proactive approach on every occasion.

·         Act in a manner that continuously improves your business performance.

·         Forge and develop long term relationships with existing and new key contacts and decision makers to safeguard any additional requirements.

·         Build strong productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

·         Promote an excellent customer satisfaction environment through effective communication and problem-ownership

·         Produce reporting for internal and external stakeholders as required

·         Act as a trusted advisor and consultant to the client, whilst acting in the company’s best interests

·         Be able to work and manage solutions for the client by consulting with specialists in the relevant Building Services or other discipline.

 

Key skills required

·         Candidates should ideally have a minimum of three years’ experience in the BMS Industry.

·         Ideally have an in-depth product knowledge of estimating, bid management, Building Management Systems.

·         Have a good understanding of the Region and existing relationships with contractors, end users and consultants in the area.

·         Ability to work under own initiative but work as part of a team.

·         Superb communication & organisational skills.

·         Commercial awareness.

·         Good attention to detail.

Person Profile

Be able to quickly understand and absorb new technical solutions, manipulate data, articulate the relevant information to their client portfolio and ideally, have experience in various facets of the energy services industry.
