TFL Launches £1.8 Billion Framework Deal


Transport for London has set out to tender for four contractors to take on an eight-year framework agreement for highway maintenance worth up to £1.8billion.

The contract for highways maintenance, improvement schemes and civil engineering for London’s traffic Signals will be used by Transport for London and Greater London Authority agencies. This includes the London Development Agency, London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority, Metropolitan Police Authority, London boroughs and the City of London. 

The contract is divided into four lots: Northeast, Northwest, Central and South. The works will not only be carried out on Highways, the framework will also commission work on housing estates, green space, schools, bus stations, garages, car parks and any other locations requested by contracting authorities.

It’s anticipated that between five and seven contractors will be invited to bid.
